I have been designing and managing interactive presentations since 1988, including Web Sites, PowerPoint Presentations and multimedia.

In producing these projects, I have been involved in every aspect of creation and management: site content/design, graphics production, user interface design, copywriting, client interaction, creative/technical resource supervision, and on-going
site management.

Here are some of my latest Web Sites and PowerPoint presentations.
(In addition to creating a variety of PowerPoint presentations I also teach Beginning through Advanced PowerPoint for Gateway Computers.)

WEB SITES
Combining my media skills (graphic/art, copywriting, content and structure design) with my management experience, I have spearheaded production of different types of Web Site designs.
To see examples of my Web Site graphics, go to the Graphics & Print section.

THE THINKWARE DEALERNET
ThinKware presents their dealers with a password-advantaged, e-commerce information and sales tool for finding out the latest in computer music and audio products and for placing orders on-line. With some 80 manufacturers represented and over 1000 products, the site is extensive.

As Creative and Marketing Manager, I produced the site, managed all the resources, created the database concept, art directed, and designed and created some of the graphics. I supervised the Beta testing and conducted polls with dealers to get feedback regarding the sites effectiveness. I also oversaw the on-going site management and updating information and graphics.

THE WORK·LIFE DESIGN GROUP
Working closely with Libby Pannwitt, the Principal of The Work·Life Design Group, I conceived, designed and produced this site to promote the services of her company and to provide information regarding career counseling and opportunities.

I created the user interface, organized the content, designed the artwork, and used Dreamweaver 4 to create the HTML programming. The orginal floral photography that forms the graphic look suggests growth and renewal, two important elements of career and lifestyle assessment.

JAMES BYFIELD CREATIVE SERVICES
I designed the graphics, user interface, structure and content for the site you are currently visiting. This site is a tool for providing employers with the information they need to assess my skills and experience and to see examples of my work in various media.

Sections include: "Skills & Experience", "Graphics & Print", "Web Sites & Presentations", "Copy Writing", "Music & Songwriting", and "Original Photography."

I used Dreamweaver 4 to create the HTML.

POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS
Combining graphics, animation, sound, movies, copy and charts and graphs, PowerPoint offers a complete presentation solution for a variety of business applications.

At ThinKware, I created many presentations, primarily for display at the several trade shows in which they exhibited each year. These presentations were designed to run continuously in a kiosk situation to entice people into the booth and present various aspects of ThinKware marketing.

NAMM 2000 (National Association of Music Merchants)
This piece, which played at Summer NAMM 2000, introduced attendees to the ThinKware DealerNet Web Site which had just launched a few months before. Viewers could click on the yellow button in the lower left corner and be taken directly to the Web Site.

I created the concept and graphics, wrote the copy, and did all of the PowerPoint programming.

DV EXPO 2000 (Digital Video Exposition)
At DV Expo, Roland was announcing the release of their new Digital Video System, the DV-7. Since this was actually a pre-release announcement, ThinKware was not allowed to mention the product by name. I created and programmed a concept that played off a "Stay Tuned..." for exciting information. That's marketing for you!

AES 2000 (Audio Engineering Society)
One of ThinKware's biggest strengths as a distributor was the large variety of manufacturers they represented and products they distributed. They were the largest distributor of computer music products in North America.

In this piece for the AES convention, I created a presentation that capitalized on this product diversity while presenting the many categories of products, hardware and software, that ThinKware distributed.
